Returning to the Mediterranean

The Mediterranean Sea is a place that many dream of seeing, and rightfully so. It is one of the most beautiful seas that this planet has to offer. The water, in most places, is just the right temperature to enjoy activities such as swimming, surfing, sailing, water skiing, and almost any other water sport that you can think of. Also, I am unaware of any dangers that lurk below the surface, like many other seas out there. I am sure that they exist, but they rarely present themselves as an issue that one should be concerned about.

I first had the opportunity to visit the sea when I was nine years old. Although I am sure I had a blast at the time, I do not think that I truly appreciated it for what it was. You see, my family had done a lot of travelling since my father was in the military. We had to relocate every 4 years, or as was required from the military. At times this caused me much grief, but I soon began to realize the benefits of it. Sure, I would have to make new friends every time that we found a new 'home', but I also had the opportunity to visit places that many youth never do, the Mediterranean Sea being one of them.

For this reason, it was such an experience when I returned at a much later age. We booked our hilton hotel sardinia due to its location and the entire family would join me on this epic trip. Although the doubletree sardinia was not there when I went as a youth, I am sure glad that someone had the great idea to establish such a hotel. It felt like a home away from home, and is a place that I would gladly return to at the drop of a hat.
